Afron Pruner

The Afron pruner is a tractor-mounted hydraulic saw which was developed to help control the canopy and optimise the performance of macadamia trees in both young and aging orchards. It can skirt, side hedge and top trees to different dimensions.

Our managing director Kim Wilson pioneered the use of the Afron in the Australian macadamia industry in the late 1990s.

We also contract the machines to the avocado, custard apple, mango and pecan industries and local, state and federal government agencies and authorities to maintain vegetation under their control - including the Roads & Maritime Services NSW (formerly RTA), Department of Transport and Main Roads (QLD), local councils and National Parks and Wildlife Services in NSW and QLD.
